The rest of the raid should position as shown in the picture. This is done because they will need to retreat behind the tank and bandage, from time to time. The melee DPS group (shown as YELLOW in the pic) should stay behind the warlock, near the tank farther away from the Gate. Greater Shadow Protection pots are also a good commodity, as Whipper root tubers and +50 stamina potions from the quest in Blasted Lands. It is advisable for them to have at least 350 shadow resistance, and one of them should also have 250 fire resist minimum. MT#1 and MT#2 should position the warlock so that his back will face the tank farther away from the IF door. The warlock will begin the fight without a pet, because he will feel too overpowered to use a pet against you.

You should position yourself as shown in this image: After you talk to him, click DUEL to start the fight. He will say something about how nerfed warlock were, and how they could not kill anyone in previous patches, and how they became godlike while mages are now water dispensers. To initiate combat, you should approach the warlock and talk to him.

You can find an SL warlock outside IF or Orgrimmar, this is the place were most SL warlocks hang out. Isis Wind Gust: You'll have plenty of time to aim and move around with this ability while it's channeling.Comment by WildhornNote: Sadly, one of the picture didnt make it throu time (this guide is very old, pre-tbc time), but I left the link there anyway) I mean, if Nox, Nem, and Odin have an insta-cast shield, why not Chang'e? Unless you can see a dangerous skillshot come your way a second before it hits, having this on insta-cast will allow you to twitch-block attacks. Sometimes you just need to get out of the situation, so by looking away and pressing 1, your job is done.Ĭhang'e Moonlit Waltz: Same reason as Hel's cleanse. You don't need to aim this until later on in the roll. Geb Roll Out: You won't benefit too much from having this on Insta-cast, but it was a peeve I had when I first played Geb. But sometimes, you'll need to use this as a panic button when danger comes your way, so seeing your flight path is useless when you have 3 assassins on your butt. You let the AI decide who to attack, so having this on "slow casting" is pretty much useless.įire Shards: If you really need to see the flight path of Nu Wa before she does the Middle Finger Ult, then by all means keep it on slow casting. Nu Wa Mysterious Fog: Let's be honest.if you are really trying to skillfully aim a large, slow moving, low damaging circle of fog towards your opponent for a kill shot, you are going to have a bad time.Ĭlay Soldiers: Again, not a skill shot, but a pet summon.
#Instacast mold plus
No need to aim this ability, plus having this on insta-cast makes it so that all of Rama's abilities require no click to activate. The only reason you'd probably use this is to get out of danger, so if you are running in the designated direction (away from danger) all you'd have to do is press 3 and the job is done. Rama Rolling Assault: Since this isn't even a skill shot, It'd be dumb not to have this on insta-cast. It takes practice to get cleansed as fast as possible in dark stance. Thanks to the last Hel buff, her Switch Stance doesn't take as long, so you can pretty much press 4 and then instantly press 2 over yourself. Hel Hinder/Cleanse: Being a HUGE Hel fan, my teammates and I have died many of times because I didn't cleanse the CC fast enough, either it was because I was in my dark stance when I wanted to, or I was just a millisecond too slow anyway. I highly recommend setting these abilities to insta-cast for some of my personal favorite gods. HOWEVER, there are many abilities in Smite that don't require aim, or would be better off having no click interaction so that you get the fastest reaction time during a fight.

Sure, most abilities in the game require precise timing and aim to be able to hit your opponent, so it is better to prime the skill first before clicking to fire.
